Ortsgespräche ("Local Conversation"): The Schenkung Sammlung Hoffmann in Dialogue with Prösitz

With the “Ortsgespräche” series, the Schenkung Sammlung Hoffmann is making itself available for art locations in the so-called rural areas of Saxony, where the diversity and social relevance of contemporary art is sometimes discussed with particular vehemence. The Hoffmann Collection has cooperated with the rural village Prösitz and the female artists working on the Künstlergut (artist's estate) Prösitz, where they produced thought-provoking art concerned with the A14 freeway that dominates the local resident's day-to-day lives.

Hop Off / Hop On - A bus ride with the Schenkung Sammlung Hoffmann

This year, the Schenkung Sammlung Hoffmann has continued its "Ortsgespräche" ("Local Conversations") in various locations in rural Saxony. However, the result of the co-operation with Zeitgemäß e.V. in Colditz was not an exhibition in the classic sense. Instead, the works can be seen outside, at bus stops. Maeshelle West-Davies accompanied the bus ride along the stops with her film "Hop Off / Hop On".

Ortsgespräche ("Local CONVERSATIONS"): Schenkung Sammlung Hoffmann IN DIALOGUE WITH SCHKEUDITZ

With the "Ortsgespräche" series, the Schenkung Sammlung Hoffmann also makes itself available for art locations in the so-called rural areas of Saxony, where the diversity and social topicality of contemporary art is sometimes put up for discussion with particular vehemence. In the second edition of the year this is done in cooperation with the art Kapella Schnkeuditz e. V.
